Nestled in the heart of the Key Peninsula, the Nature Homeschool Co-op offers a unique educational experience designed to connect children with the natural world. Our co-op is founded on the belief that learning thrives when children explore and engage with their environment, and that the outdoors provides the perfect classroom for hands-on, experiential education.

We offer a community-driven, nature-based program that fosters curiosity, creativity, and a deep respect for the world around us. Through outdoor activities, environmental stewardship, and seasonal learning projects, students will experience the wonders of the Pacific Northwest—whether it's hiking the lush trails of the peninsula, studying local ecosystems, or engaging in outdoor arts and crafts. Our approach emphasizes collaboration, self-directed learning, and building lasting friendships within a supportive, like-minded community.

At the Nature Homeschool Co-op, we aim to create an inclusive, empowering space where families can come together to nurture the next generation of explorers, thinkers, and stewards of the Earth. Join us in creating a vibrant homeschool community rooted in the beauty of the Key Peninsula!

Our Mission is to support the children and families of the Key Peninsula by providing high-quality childcare, cooperative preschool programs, nature-based early childhood education, and family resource services. We are devoted to creating an environment that helps children thrive, breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty, and eradicating the childcare desert in our community.

Key Peninsula Cooperative Preschool and Forest Friends of the Key Peninsula provides equal access to all programs and services without discrimination based on sex, race, creed, religion, color, national origin, age, honorable discharged veteran or family military status, sexual orientation, gender expression, gender identity, or the presence of any sensory, mental, or physical disability.
